An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented commercial lawyer to join one of the UK’s largest media companies.
You will be joining a collaborative legal team reporting into the Head of Legal. The work is interesting and fast paced. Responsibilities will include negotiating a broad range of contracts and advising on a wide variety of issues, including content licensing, content acquisition, contributor contracts, syndication and content distribution, releases, intellectual property licenses, book agreements, consultancy agreements, data processing agreements, brand licensing, sponsorship agreements, events and exhibition contracts, traditional and digital advertising, ecommerce, technology, software development, software licensing, cloud-based services, competitions and promotions, agency agreements, online affiliate agreements, multi-media agreements, supply agreements, distribution contracts, production agreements.
Applicants must have a strong academic background. You will have trained and qualified into a TMT department of a respected law firm or trained in-house. In-house experience will be beneficial but is not essential.
You will have the ability to work autonomously, think strategically and creatively and communicate clearly and precisely. You must be enthusiastic, proactive, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment. You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and become an integral part of the legal team.
