Our client, a prestigious US law firm in London, is seeking a Knowledge & Information Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work closely with a Professional Support Lawyer, Knowledge Manager, and wider Knowledge Development team to support specific practice groups (TBD).

Responsibilities will include maintaining knowledge tools and know-how repositories, acting as a point of contact for enquiries on the firm’s precedents and know-how, supporting the development of the firm’s innovation offering, and contributing to the delivery of knowledge training to Practice Groups. The Knowledge & Information Specialist will also work with the global Knowledge Solutions team to develop and maintain knowledge channels, as well as collaborate with other professional support functions such as Library & Information Services, Business Development, and Learning & Development on shared objectives and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in a legal research or professional services organisation, with experience in practice support and key principles of information services, research, and knowledge and content management. An interest in knowledge management, research, and innovation is essential, as well as an aptitude for using technology and being highly computer literate. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, with the ability to work with people of varying levels of seniority and expertise. An organised approach to work and a keen eye for detail are also important, and the candidate should be educated to degree level, similar higher education, or equivalent.
