A fantastic opportunity for a talented commercial lawyer to join the legal team of the Education and Children's Services division of the UK's leading independent provider of behavioural care in the UK and across the Middle East. With over 90 schools, colleges and residential care homes in the UK and wellbeing centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi providing specialist education, residential care and healthcare for society's young people who need it, this vital role will be accountable for the successful and timely delivery of legal services to all areas of the business.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will lead negotiations with key vendors on a range of commercial contracts as well as working alongside the Head of Legal on developing the team's capability through the implementation of new processes and systems, particularly in relation to data protection and compliance. Further, you will benefit from the opportunity to advise key internal stakeholders on a variety of legal and compliance matters as well as supporting them with corporate strategy when required.
Ideally, you will have 3+ years PQE at a reputable law firm and/or in a comparable in-house environment, having gained varied experience of commercial contracts and an excellent knowledge of data protection laws. Experience working in the healthcare or education sectors would be desirable but is not essential. You will need to be confident in decision making, demonstrate a passion for your work and have an ability to maintain important business partner relationships across multiple internal departments.
