Taylor Root has partnered with a global, leading, Magic Circle law firm. My client is looking to hire a Data Privacy Lawyer, responsible for implementing privacy and compliance programmes and supporting the firm’s Chief Privacy Officer on all aspects of the firm
The successful candidate will help to ensure that the firm is protected against cyber threats by working alongside new AI technology to review terms.
If you are a lawyer with 1-4 years PQE with a strong track record working in risk management and a strong interest in data protection and are looking to grow your career in a well-established and leading Magic Circle law firm this could be the role for you!
Some of the duties include:
- Assisting in the support and maintenance of the existing global programme of measures designed to comply with privacy laws globally.
- Helping to manage, support and deliver a global programme of work designed to comply with recent changes to European data protection law.
- Conducting data privacy impact assessments, including in relation to software, systems, and processes.
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
- Qualified lawyer with demonstrable experience advising on data privacy and data handling issues, including in the context of commercial contracts.
- An enthusiasm for technology and the ability to understand, explain and advise on technical processes using business-friendly language
- Experience in providing directive and pragmatic advice on data privacy, information security, and data handling issues would be advantageous.
