Are you an experienced commercial lawyer with around 5 years post-qualification experience? Are you pragmatic and have experience working in-house? Are you keen to get stuck into projects relating to business growth? If so this could be a perfect role for you!
This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-senior level lawyer to join a well-known Group within the hospitality sector. You'll work with highly regarded, recognisable brands and be encouraged to thrive and develop in a growing business.
You'll work for a UK headquartered Group that has outlets internationally and strong growth plans for the future. They have a newly appointed General Counsel, and experienced board, that are keen to empower those within the Group and drive the company towards excellence over the coming years.
Reporting direct to the General Counsel you'll be a core member of the legal team. You'll be required to support a more junior lawyer, and to handle a varied caseload including technology matters, data protection work and franchise / concession agreements.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Advising on data protection and GDPR compliance
- Negotiate, review and draft commercial agreements relating to IT, marketing and business development, and franchise and concession agreements
- Assist the GC on corporate finance projects
- Advise on intellectual property matters and business-related disputes
What they're looking for
You'll be a senior lawyer with around 4 - 7 PQE (as a guide). It is essential that you have experience supporting on data protection matters, and ideally technology contracts in-house. You'll be a pragmatic and ambitious in-house lawyer that is looking to join a team where you'll be encouraged to flourish.
In return you'll receive a market leading package, with up to a 30% bonus. You'll receive direction and support from the General Counsel but will also be given autonomy to manage your workload, and develop within the Group.
