A boutique investments business is currently looking to recruit a talented funds, private equity lawyer to join their team in London on a 12 month maternity cover contract.

Reporting directly to the head of legal you will be involved in:

Advising the business on marketing products with respect to securities marketing rules and issues across a number of jurisdictions (with particular emphasis on licensing, registration and marketing related rules in Europe and the Middle East).

Assisting in the preparation of key legal documents in connection with new and existing funds products (including structuring, term sheets, management agreements, offering memoranda and constituent documents).

Managing external counsel.

Assisting in the fund raising process from initial structuring through to investor negotiations and "closing" of mandates and funds.

Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of internal policies.

You will ideally be a qualified lawyer with private equity and/or real estate funds experience, ideally with some experience of both Luxembourg structures as well as more traditional "offshore" jurisdictions as well as good working knowledge of the regulatory framework relating to investment management, in particular the marketing of investment funds (especially AIFMD in the EU).
