Great opportunity for a 2-4 PQE employment lawyer looking to work in an award winning UK top 100 commercial law firm within a multi-disciplinary employment team.

Based in the firm’s Leeds office, this role would suit a proactive and enthusiastic employment solicitor with at least 2 years PQE experience looking to take the next step in their career within a market leading employment team.

The role will primarily focus on supporting clients in the healthcare sector acting for health and social care clients including the NHS and independent organisations as well as operators within the social care and charity sectors. There will also be the opportunity to support on matters for clients across a range of other sectors.

The successful candidate will already have experience of working on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters ideally with experience working for clients in health and social care, local government, commercial or higher education.

They will be able to demonstrate experience in case management, either managing their own caseload or supporting on more complex matters, a strong understanding of equality legislation and equal opportunities principles, reviewing and drafting policies, advising on employee relations issues including grievances, disciplinary matters and settlement negotiations and contractual advice.

The role will involve working on a wide range of matters, managing a caseload and also working with partners and colleagues across the national team. There will be opportunities to get involved in novel and complex employment law issues (both contentious and non-contentious) as well as delivering training to clients and supporting on business development.
