You will work closely with three senior partners and supervise a team of 12-14 junior lawyers. The employment team in Birmingham works across several sectors, including commercial, health, higher education, sports, and charities. This team is part of a broader network, the National Employment, Pensions, and Immigration Service Line, comprising over 70 legal professionals nationwide, with regular cross-office training and collaboration opportunities.

About You

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of employment law experience, ideally gained at a reputable firm with a robust employment practice. Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Advanced technical skills in employment law, with the ability to deliver commercially aware advice.
  • Experience managing complex employment litigation cases and handling high-level advisory work.
  • Effective supervision skills, with experience in coaching and mentoring junior team members.
