About the Role:
Our law firm client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Associate or Senior Associate with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience (2 PQE+) to join their dynamic Employment Law team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a legal professional looking to advance their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:
General Employment Advisory Work: Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of employment issues to a diverse client base, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practices.
Employment Tribunal Claims: Manage and represent clients in employment tribunal proceedings, from initial instructions through to final hearings, including advocacy where appropriate.
Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI): Advise on EDI matters, helping clients to develop and implement effective EDI strategies and policies.
Whistleblowing: Counsel clients on whistleblowing issues, ensuring they understand the legal protections and obligations involved.
Reorganisation and Redundancy: Provide expert advice on reorganisation and redundancy processes, including risk management and compliance with statutory requirements.
Healthcare Legislation: Apply healthcare legislation to employment law scenarios, advising clients in the healthcare sector on relevant employment issues.
Candidate Profile:

Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in employment law, with a proven track record of handling both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Skills: Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and effectively.
Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of employment law, including recent developments and emerging trends.
Attributes: Client-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating initiative and commercial awareness.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently, managing a varied caseload efficiently.
