Derivatives VP Legal Counsel

Leading European investment bank seeking Legal Counsel to join Sales & Trading Advisory team in London.

The focus of the role will be commodities and FX as well as supporting a range of desks including sales, trading and structuring, working with senior management, compliance and other functions as needed. This role offers varied, interesting work, drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements related to metals trading, working for the FX business, advising on Listed Derivatives and Clearing, supporting commodities desks, with opportunity to advise on other business and products within the bank’s fixed income and currencies business lines as well.

A supportive, collegiate environment and good breadth of work are on offer. The ideal candidate will have trained and qualified at a top-tier City law firm, with 1-4 years’ PQE and in addition to derivatives will ideally have commodities, metals and/or FX experience.

This is a VP role that would suit a technical lawyer with a commercial mindset, looking for their first in-house role. Excellent quality of work and work/life balance on offer, with competitive salary and benefits.
