Business Affairs Executive

As the CRBA Executive, you will support the CRBA Manager, Children's in providing legal, rights and business affairs support to the Children's content and production business, primarily with regard to independent commissioning and acquisitions work.
A particular focus will be on supporting:
- Independent commissioning and programme production agreements (PPA);
- Negotiating with independent producers on behalf of the BBC; and
- Acquisition agreements
Working with the CRBA Manager, you will help to support, enable and advise Children's with regard to a range of business affairs matters, including in relation to the creation of content, underlying and third party rights, intellectual property and rights exploitation.
You will be interested in, or already have experience working in, a production or broadcast environment and you'll bring a passion for content to the role.
The candidate will have strong commercial negotiation and contracting skills and ideally have experience and knowledge of the independent production market and of negotiating and contracting production, development, acquisition and digital content supply agreements and managing supplier relationships.
Sophisticated drafting skills are essential and you will have demonstrable experience of drafting and negotiating a variety of legal agreements. In addition, you'll have strong analytical skills and be a good communicator, with experience of building relationships across a range of people and within a team. Whilst legal qualifications are highly desirable they are not essential.
