You don\u2019t need to sit on every steering committee, and more exposure to the wider business is one of the most effective ways to ensure buy-in for your people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-align-with-company-goals-and-compliance\">Align with company goals and compliance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Legal and compliance teams must proactively integrate themselves into decision-making processes across the organisation. By understanding business objectives from day one, they can effectively contribute to strategic initiatives and mitigate risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-manage-growth\">Manage growth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Stay ruthlessly aligned to business objectives and operate with a basic assumption that your team won\u2019t grow quickly. Prioritisation is essential. If what you are doing isn\u2019t clearly aligned to business strategy or managing a critical risk, then question why you are doing it.
