This is a broad, business-facing role offering exposure to commercial contracts, corporate governance and a variety of legal matters across the organisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Reporting into their General Counsel and working closely with senior leadership and teams including commercial, operations and HR, you will provide pragmatic legal advice that supports the organisation&#8217;s growth and risk management objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including supplier and customer contracts, NDAs and financing agreements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support company law and corporate governance matters, including board and shareholder resolutions, subsidiary management and company secretarial requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Manage Companies House filings and related statutory requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide practical day-to-day legal advice to stakeholders across the business.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Advise on data protection, privacy and employment-related matters in partnership with relevant internal teams.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Identify and manage legal and commercial risk, escalating issues where appropriate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Instruct and manage external counsel in a cost-effective manner.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Develop templates, policies and playbooks to improve the efficiency of the legal function.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Support ad hoc projects, which may include M&amp;A, restructuring, financing or new market entry.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">About You<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with approximately 4-5 years&#8216; PQE.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Prior in-house experience or a substantial in-house secondment is essential.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Comfortable managing a varied workload autonomously in a fast-paced environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Commercial, pragmatic and solutions focused, with the ability to provide clear advice to non-lawyers.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experience in data protection, company secretarial or corporate governance matters would be beneficial.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Exposure to the steel, commodities, trading, manufacturing or industrial sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Aptos, sans-serif;font-size: 10pt\">What&#8217;s on Offer<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Competitive salary and discretionary annual bonus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Private medical insurance and pension contribution.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Hybrid working from a London office.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">25 days&#8216; annual leave plus bank holidays.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Professional development support.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">If you are an experienced in-house lawyer available for an interim assignment and interested in a broad role within an international business, please apply to discuss the opportunity in confidence.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;font-size: 8pt\">Please note our advertisements use PQE\/salary levels purely as a guide.
