This is a broad in-house role providing commercial, regulatory and general legal advice to local stakeholders, while working closely with a regional Legal and Compliance team.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of <strong>commercial agreements<\/strong>, including sales, supply, procurement, services, logistics and project-related contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Provide day-to-day legal and regulatory advice to the business on commercial matters, disputes, governance, compliance and operational issues.<\/li>\n<li>Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks, including supporting internal policies, training and governance initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across operations, procurement, finance, HR, projects and other corporate functions.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and manage external counsel where specialist support is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Malaysia-qualified lawyer<\/strong> with approximately <strong>5+ years&#8216; PQE<\/strong> gained in private practice and\/or an in-house environment.<\/li>\n<li>Strong general corporate and commercial experience, with exposure to regulatory matters and\/or dispute resolution advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting a <strong>complex operational or industrial business environment<\/strong> would be advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Strong drafting, analytical and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work independently and provide practical, commercially focused advice.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent <strong>English and Bahasa Malaysia<\/strong>; additional language capabilities would be advantageous.
