Are you a junior lawyer with a passion for construction law? We’re looking for a Legal Counsel to join this busy legal team, supporting high-value, strategically important projects across the UK.

About the Role
As part of the Legal & Company Secretarial team, you’ll provide strategic legal advice and compliance expertise. You’ll work on both contentious (95%) and non-contentious (5%) matters, supporting projects across transport and natural resources sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and advise on construction contracts (NEC focus), JV agreements, consultancy contracts, variations, settlement agreements, and related documents.
- Manage external legal support where required.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations across the business.
- Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks.
- Drive efficiency through new technologies and processes.
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified junior lawyer. 0-3 years PQE.
- Demonstrable experience in the construction sector (contentious and/or non-contentious).
- Strong understanding of the NEC suite of contracts.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Commercially aware with strong business acumen.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team player with a high-performance mindset.
- Prior in-house experience is desirable but not essential.
