Outlook 2012
Whilst the economic uncertainty that hangs over Europe cannot be ignored, the Private Practice team at Taylor Root has seen a brisk start in the early part of 2012 and we have been instructed on a good number of new legal roles across a wide range of disciplines. We have also been contacted by a number of good quality candidates who have made the new year's resolution to make a career move.
In the London market we remain particularly busy with mid level litigation and employment roles and have also seen a rise in the number of IP/ IT/Technology opportunities. Lawyers with niche technical specialisations (Financial Services, Funds, Tax, Pensions, Construction) remain very much in demand. Whilst mainstream transactional teams (Corporate, Banking, Real Estate) are clearly not as busy, there is still a market for high calibre candidate in these areas.
If you are based in London and have decided that 2012 is your year to make the move overseas then we are working on a large number of Banking and Finance and Arbitration roles across Asia and there continues to be considerable demand in Australia for Corporate, Banking and Projects/Construction. We are instructed on EU roles in Brussels, Banking in Amsterdam and Paris, Capital Markets in Milan and Corporate in Moscow.
