Managing leisure centres and sporting venues for public and private clients around the UK, the company aims to cater to a wide cross-section in the community, therefore attracting and motivating people to be more active and involved in sport and fitness.

With the core business centred on management contracts, the organisation is seeking to appoint an in-house lawyer to take responsibility for this process and make sure its point of view is reflected in agreements. The role will centre on negotiating and drafting new contracts, as well as revising, renewing and updating existing agreements. You will deal extensively with local authorities, as well as stakeholders within the organisation. As a key player in the organisation, you will be the go-to person for any legal issues, as well as needing to take a proactive role in ensuring company procedures are compliant and any updates are rolled out to the organisation.

Strong contracts experience is essential, as are excellent drafting and negotiating skills. The ability to work with a range of people is also very important. Any experience dealing with local authorities will be highly regarded. You must be a team player as well as having the ability to lead and take responsibility, especially in negotiations.
