The recruitment process
Taylor Root aims to make the recruitment process as smooth as possible from the moment you initially contact us to the moment you start a new position.
We will provide you with constructive advice and information and we will also give you a very honest view of your career prospects. We ensure complete confidentiality and have a firm-wide policy of never approaching organisations without your consent.
Our consultants specialise in specific market sectors and differing levels of seniority. So whether you are newly qualified or an experienced lawyer, you will be talking to a consultant who specifically understands your market and your specialised area of expertise.
A recruitment process usually involves:
- An initial meeting at our offices to discuss your current career position and to give you advice and information about the legal market.
- Producing your CV in a professionally formatted package.
- Presenting your profile to prospective employers who are specifically looking to recruit legal professionals.
- Arranging interviews with clients at convenient times, and providing detailed corporate information.
- Advising you on the interview process and giving you information on the people you will be meeting.
- Providing you with feedback after all interviews.
- Achieving the best remuneration package for you.
- Advising you on the best course of action and, if necessary, helping you with the resignation process.
Long Term Contact
Whether we find you a new position or not, you will have initiated an open line of communication with us that you can confidentially access at any stage. We are proud of the fact that we have advised a significant number of legal professionals throughout their career, whether they require salary advice, market information or indeed, when they are recruiting for their own team.
Impartial advice
None of our fee-earners is commission-based. This is one of the deliberate, founding principles of our firm, and enables us to provide both candidates and clients with impartial, honest and constructive advice. We have always believed that long-term working relationships are paramount, and have structured our own remuneration policy to prevent this being compromised in any way.
Why use a recruitment consultancy?
A reputable recruitment consultancy will:

All these services will be free-of-charge.
