Legal Opportunities in Eastern Europe

The legal market in Eastern Europe encompasses The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Central Eastern Europe (CEE) and Russia.

The International law firms with offices in Eastern Europe often have their Eastern European headquarters in Moscow and tend to be driven by the transactional practice areas and therefore the demand is mainly for corporate, banking and projects (oil & gas/energy) lawyers.

The firms operating in Central Eastern Europe tend to be involved in similar transactional work, so, once again the demand is high for corporate and finance lawyers. In addition many have very developed IT/Telecoms/Outsourcing practices and therefore are interested in candidates with such experience.
