Ailish Allen - Regional Law Firms
Ailish read law at university and completed the LPC at the College of La w before qualifying as a solicitor in 2002. She joined Taylor Root in January 2007 from London firm Memery Crystal where she specialised in Corporate Finance. Ailish recruits solicitors into private practice in the South East.

Alex Wiseman - US Firms, London
Alex graduated from University College London with a law degree in 2002 and subsequently went on to study the LPC at the College of Law in London. After spending a period with a leading executive search company, Alex joined Taylor Root in December 2003 and specialises in private practice recruitment for US law firms in London.

Alexis Osen - Niche/West End Firms
Alexis graduated in architecture from UCL and completed the CPE and LPC at the College of Law, London before specialising as a criminal lawyer. Alexis joined Taylor Root as a consultant in March 2006.

Anna Haigh - UK Firms, London
Anna graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry). Anna qualified with Simpson Grierson in Auckland before moving to London, where she worked at SJ Berwin and Howrey LLP. Anna joined Taylor Root in June 2007 and specialises in private practice recruitment for London law firms.

Camila von Ancken - International
Camila graduated in law from Ponticia Universidade Catolica de Sao Paulo in 2004 and qualified in Brazil in the same year. Having worked at Baker & McKenzie Sao Paulo for 4 years, Camila moved to Munich for a Master's degree (LL.M. Eur.) at the University of Munich (LMU), during which time she worked with Baker & McKenzie Munich. Camila then joined Taylor Root in July 2008 and is now a consultant on the international team focusing on the German market.
Christian Mahood - UK Firms, London
Christian graduated from Durham University with a degree in Politics before completing the CPE and LPC at the College of Law, Guildford. Subsequently, he trained and qualified as a Commercial Litigator at CMS Cameron McKenna. Having moved into legal recruitment initially with Hughes-Castell, Christian is now a member of Taylor Root's London Private Practice team.
Costanza Nicolosi - International
Costanza graduated at Universita’ Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore in Milan with a Law Degree in 2006 and subsequently went on to study and then work in a niche Commercial firm in Paris for 2 years. In 2007, she completed her Masters in Law at University of Westminister in London, and then joined Taylor Root in April 2008 where she specialises in private practice recruitment in Italy and France. She speaks fluent Italian, French and English.
Darryn Hale - Regional Law Firms
Darryn is a partner at Taylor Root and manages the regional recruitment business. He studied Economics at Manchester University before completing the CPE and Law Society Finals at Guildford Law School. He commenced his training contract with Clifford Chance in 1994, qualifying in 1996 and remaining there for three years’ post qualification before moving to an in-house finance role at Macquarie Bank in Sydney, Australia. Darryn joined Taylor Root in April 2001 and now specialises in recruiting partners into private practice across the South.

Ed O'Brien - UK Firms, London
Ed graduated from Cambridge University with a law degree and qualified as a corporate lawyer with CMS Cameron McKenna. Ed joined Taylor Root in April 2001 and after spending four years working in the international and private practice teams in London he moved to Taylor Root's Hong Kong Office. In Hong Kong Ed focused on recruiting lawyers into private practice firms in the Asia region and headed up the office from 2006-2007. Ed has now returned to London and is the Group Manager in the Private Practice team.

Gill Appleby - Partners, London
Gill is a law graduate from Bristol University who qualified at Herbert Smith before joining Taylor Root as a consultant in February 1997. Gill has operated within practice, international and partner recruitment and became a Partner in 2003. She is responsible for lateral hires for associates from 6+ years' post-qualification to senior equity partners.

Guy Adams - International
Guy graduated in law from Nottingham University in 1998 and subsequently completed the LPC at Nottingham Law School. Having previously worked at Norton Rose, McGrigors and Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, he joined Taylor Root in January 2007. Guy is responsible for recruitment throughout Europe.

Hussein El-Zein - International
Hussein studied politics in the USA at Ohio Wesleyan University and then went on to attain a Master's degree. He moved to London in 2003 where he studied law at BPP, doing his GDL and BVC, and qualified as a Barrister. He joined Taylor Root in January 2007 and is a consultant on the international team.
Jamie Newbold - International
Jamie graduated from Durham University and then trained with Norton Rose and practised at Theodore Goddard. He has been responsible for recruiting lawyers overseas at Taylor Root since June 2000. Jamie recruits private practice and in-house in Europe and the Middle East and also specialises in the Cayman Islands, BVI and Bermuda. Jamie regularly visits clients in these regions to keep up with the latest developments.

Kathryn Parry - UK Firms, London
Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Social Science and a Bachelor of Law, completing study in both the UK and Australia. With two years’ recruitment experience obtained at Naiman Clarke in Sydney, Kathryn is a member of Taylor Root's London private practice team and covers assistant level recruitment for UK and US clients.

Lovena Bernet - UK Firms, London
Lovena graduated in law and trained at a niche Westminster firm. After a couple of years in practice, she joined Hudson to recruit for their private practice team in September 2005. Lovena joined Practice 1 at Taylor Root in January 2008 and specialises in the placement of lawyers into large and medium sized UK firms.

Mark has been recruiting in to the legal market since 2002. Following several years working at another international recruitment company, Mark joined Taylor Root in March 2006. Matt completed an LLB Law at the University of Sheffield, graduating in July 2007. He joined Taylor Root as a graduate trainee in September 2007 and is now a consultant on the International team.

Michael graduated from Manchester University in 2006 with a degree in Law and went on to complete his LPC at BPP Law School in Manchester. He joined Taylor Root as a Graduate Trainee in September 2007 and is now a consultant in the Practice 2 team.

Mike Walker - Niche/West End Firms
Mike is a manager focusing on the recruitment of partners/senior associates into London law firms, and a solicitor admitted in England and Wales in 1997. Prior to joining Taylor Root he practised in the Corporate Department of Berwin Leighton Paisner in London. Joining Taylor Root in 2000, Mike first spent four years in our Sydney office, returning to the London office in January 2005.

Nichola Koszary - UK Firms, London
Nichola graduated in law from the University of Aberdeen in 1996 and subsequently worked as a technology solicitor with Shepherd & Wedderburn in Glasgow and Edinburgh, before moving over to Australia to work with the law firm Freehills. In 2001, Nichola moved into legal recruitment with Garfield Robbins International in Melbourne, moving back to the London office in August 2002 to specialise in private practice recruitment for London law firms. Nichola joined Taylor Root in August 2005.
Nick Root - Partners, London
Founding partner. Having spent six years at Michael Page, he joined The SR Group to set up Taylor Root in 1989. He currently handles the recruitment of equity partners within London law firms and senior heads of legal within commerce and industry throughout the South of England.

Nicola Darke - Regional Law Firms
Nicola graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2006 with an English and Philosophy degree. She then went on to complete her GDL at BPP Professional Education, London in 2007 before joining Taylor Root as a graduate trainee in July 2007. She is now a consultant on the Regional team.

Nikki graduated in English Literature from the University of Cardiff before undertaking the CPE and LPC in Bristol. She trained at TLT in Bristol and on qualification remained in the South West, moving to Bevan Ashford. Paul Roxburgh - Partners, London
Paul is a law graduate from Nottingham University. He joined Taylor Root in Sept 1998 having previously qualified as a solicitor with Lovells. Paul was head of our Hong Kong office from 2000 to 2006 and was made a partner in 2002. He is now the partner responsible for the London private practice division and recruits at Partner level.

Samantha Cowling - UK Firms, London
Samantha graduated in law and qualified as a solicitor with Deacons in Sydney. In 2003 she relocated to London and joined Dickson Minto where she practiced as a Private Equity lawyer. Samantha joined Taylor Root in June 2007 after working in private practice recruitment for a number of years with another well known recruitment consultancy. Samantha specialises in recruiting associate level lawyers into top-tier firms in London.
Sara Enoch - International
Sara graduated from Oxford University in 2001 where she read modern languages and philosophy. She then completed the CPE and LPC at BPP in London before training at Linklaters and moving to Gide Loyrette Nouel, where she practised as a banking associate. In October 2006 Sara joined the international team at Taylor Root, and now specialises in private practice recruitment into Asia, Europe, the Cayman Islands and BVI.

Shobana Kanagasingham - International
Shobana graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (with first class honours) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Melbourne in 2000. Admitted to practice in March 2003, Shobana completed her articles and worked at Freehills until October 2004, when she moved to Michael Page to specialise in private practice recruitment. In December 2006, Shobana joined Taylor Root’s Melbourne office. She relocated to London in January 2008 and is responsible for recruiting lawyers at all levels from the UK into the Asia-Pacific region.
Toria Walker - Regional Law Firms
Toria read law at the University of Leeds and graduated in 2003. She joined Taylor Root in January 2004 and works alongside Lyndon Jennings in placing lawyers into private practice roles in the Thames Valley, South West and Wales.

Warren Lefton - Niche/West End Firms
Warren read philosophy at Manchester Metropolitan University before completing the CPE and LPC at the College of Law. He joined Taylor Root in October 2006, having previously qualified as a solicitor with the law firm Ingram Winter Green. He is now a consultant in the Private Practice team, specialising in recruitment for medium sized and niche law firms.

Zoe Discombe - PSL
Zoë graduated from the University of the West of England with a law degree and also the LPC. On graduating, Zoë worked in the commercial litigation department of a large Bristol firm before moving into regional recruitment in 2002. She then spent a number of years travelling and on her return joined Taylor Root, where she specialises in the recruitment of Professional Support Lawyers.
